Sony LR1 Camera
Capture every detail with SONY ILX-LR1!
Capture photos and videos from your drone in incredible quality with Sony's advanced imaging technology. Collect high-resolution data with a 61.0-megapixel full-frame sensor and interchangeable E-mount lenses. Thanks to the higher resolution, you can see the smallest detail anywhere in the image that would be invisible on common drone cameras.
Install and integrate into your system
Significantly lighter than conventional SONY Alpha cameras! The SONY ILX LR1 camera is ideal for inspection, measurement and mapping. It doesn't require a viewfinder or external controls, and its slim and versatile housing makes it suitable for many industrial applications.
Create a personalized app
The ILX-LR1 supports the Sony Camera Remote SDK, giving users direct and quick access to the camera's menus and other functions from their own applications.
High-resolution sensor for high-quality images
The full-frame, back-illuminated Exmor R™ 35mm CMOS sensor with an effective pixel count of 61.0 million pixels delivers outstanding sensitivity, resolution and tonal spread. The advanced BIONZ XR™ real-time image processing engine delivers natural gradation and realistic colors with low noise for both still images and movies. The ILX LR1's high resolution, low noise and wide tonal dynamic range make it capable of capturing the finest details important for inspection, testing, measurement and mapping (such as fine scratches and cracks). A wide ISO sensitivity range of 100 to 32,000 allows the camera to operate in a wide variety of daylight conditions.
Lightweight, flexible design for integration into your machine
Offering a lightweight and compact design, the ILX LR1 is designed for industrial applications that do not require a conventional camera body, LCD monitor, viewfinder, grip, Multi Interface (MI) shoe, or battery power function. The body weighs just 243 g* at 100 × 74 × 42.5 mm.
The lower weight translates into longer drone flight time, and the compact body fits into the smallest drones. It's ideal for photographing surfaces from high altitudes. The ability to take continuous shots at 3 frames per second - useful for mapping from the drone - speeds up photography saving time.
* Indicative specification - may change.
Dedicated SDK for integration with personalized applications
The Sony Camera Remote SDK allows users to remotely control the ILX LR1's menus and other functions from within their own applications. With API integration into the system, it becomes possible to remotely control the camera from the drone's on-board computer, allowing users to change camera settings, trigger the shutter, monitor live view and more. With the Sony Camera Remote SDK, user applications can combine unique image identifiers with the drone's location data in post-processing.
Design for easy installation
The ILX-LR1 camera is DC-powered, allowing it to operate for long periods of time without replacing the batteries in the carrier. The camera is equipped with power and recording lights that allow you to quickly check its status. The camera's power and control terminal allows low-latency data control for remote applications requiring immediate response, such as time-lapse video capture. Focus and trigger signals from an external system, as well as exposure signals from the camera, can be transmitted through this terminal. Power, exposure, focus and trigger signals can be transmitted to/from the camera via a single terminal. To prevent unintentional changes to the camera's settings, it has been equipped with a lock switch (LOCK). Even when the lock switch is on, you can still take pictures by pressing the shutter button. There are screw mounts on each of the six surfaces for easy mounting. The controls and connectors - as well as micro HDMI, USB-C (with top locking mechanism) and other controls - are grouped together to maximize mounting options.
